More About the Vision Plan
The VSP vision plan is a voluntary vision benefit. It covers an annual eye exam after a co-pay, and gives an allowance for either contacts or glasses when you visit a VSP network doctor.
No ID Card:
No ID card issued - Employees just need to let the VSP Network Doctor know that they have VSP and supply the doctor with their Social Security Number. The Network doctor obtains authorization directly through VSP. As past services are captured, VSP Network doctors use this system to make sure that the member is eligible for benefits. A "card" would not necessarily provide confirmation of eligibility when it comes to vision.
